Being the popular trekking trail in the world, it is an ideal destination for all trekkers. Below is the detailed itinerary that is suited for all types of trekkers in the Everest Base Camp trek which I highly recommend. 

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel

Your Everest Base Camp trek starts as soon as you land in Nepal. At the airport, our Pristine Nepal representative will welcome you & transfer you to the hotel.

You will be staying in a hotel in the Thamel area today which is the biggest and popular marketplace for tourists. If you get extra time in Kathmandu due to early arrival then you can have a short visit to popular places inside the Thamel area. Also, you will meet the guide & other team members.

Tip: Re-check all the supplies you have brought with yourself or counsel with your tour operator if you need anything. Also, there are many Nepali food markets inside the Thamel area that you can explore.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Today, you will enjoy a thrilling & scenic 35 minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu or Ramechhap according to the flight time given by Pristine Nepal Team. Upon landing at the airport you will meet our local porter for the trek.

From Lukla, your day kicks off with a short 3 hours trek to Phakding. Phakding is your first destination which is a small village of Khumbu region located in North of Lukla near Dudh Koshi river.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazar from Phakding

Early morning we will start the trek as soon as we have our breakfast in Phakding. Today you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park region, which is also one of the World Heritage sites.

You will have lunch at Jorsalle which is the final village before reaching the Namche Bazar.
It will take a minimum of 6 hours to reach Namche Bazar. On the way, you will have your first glance of Mount Everest from a viewpoint before reaching Namche Bazar.

Day 4: Acclimatization day | Visit Syangboche 3,800m for Mt. Everest View

Acclimatization Day is most important for the trek. Today you can take a stroll to the Sherpa museum where you can explore the culture of Sherpa’s and history of lifestyle.

Also, Namche Bazar is the biggest trading hub in Khumbu region which have internet cafes, restaurants, government offices, ATMs,s and a cheap market from Friday evening to Saturday. Thus, it’s a luxury place to spend your acclimatization day in Everest Base Camp trail.

If you are free and interested to have a short hike then there is Syangboche where Everest view hotel. Everest view hotel is one of the luxury hotel of Khumbu region which gives a perfect view of Mount Everest.

Day 5: Trek to Tyangboche

Tyangboche is the home of Monks where you can experience the cultures based on Tibetan cultures. It’s a little steep ascents & descents when trekking to Tyangboche.

However, due to acclimatization day in Namche Bazar before, it will be no problem for you to walk steep ascents & descents. Still, walk slowly and drink lots of water to avoid any accidents or AMS.

Also, when trekking to Tyangboche, you will encounter lots of prayer flags in the way. Similarly, you will have an amazing landscapes view for photoshoots too. You will be surprised how your 6 hours of walk completed walking besides the majestic mountains.

After reaching in Tyangboche, you will still have time to explore the Tyangboche Monastery. The place is so peaceful and spiritual that you will lose all your fatigue.

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche

Today we will trek through the most beautiful Rhododendron forest which is the national flower of Nepal. The trek is steep upward to Pangboche which is a Sherpa village also the highest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu region where many other trekkers rest.

As usual, we will start our trek as soon as we eat breakfast. Even though the trek duration to Dingboche is 5 hours, the steep upward trail makes it a little challenging. So, if we reach Dingboche soon then we can have lot’s of time to do many other activities.

Day 7: Acclimatization day and Sightseeing in Dingboche

Another acclimatization day in Dingboche (4,450m) which is the best place to rest and do many interesting activities. During acclimatization day in Dingboche, you can either climb to Nangkartshang Peak or explore Dingboche.

Nangkartshang Peak is terribly steep upward to climb however the best place to enjoy the view of majestic mountains. You will not regret hiking to Nangkartshang peak.

The main objective of today’s acclimatization day is to make you ready for big day.

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche

After a second acclimatization day in Dingboche, you will be almost ready for Everest Base Camp. Trekking to Lobuche will be easy as pie if you have climbed to Nangkartshang peak.

Similarly, today will be a long walk from Dingboche to Lobuche which will take up to 5/6 hours. That is why we will walk early in the morning after having breakfast. You’ll have a lunch break at Thukla/Dukla at 4,630m altitude.

Day 9: Trek to Everest Base Camp & back to Gorakshep

Today, after breakfast in Lobuche, we will head to Gorakshep which will only take 3 hours minimum to reach. After putting all your luggage in Gorakshep, you will then walk minimum 2 hours to reach Everest Base Camp.

Note=Most of the peoples get confused in Everest Base Camp whether Mount Everest can be seen or not. However, you will not see Mount Everest from Everest Base Camp.)

Day 10: Hike to Kalapathar and Trek down to Pheriche

After a tremendous experience in Everest base camp, it’s time to trek back to Lukla. But wait theres more! We will head down to Kalapatthar-the best viewpoint of the entire Mount Everest massif.

After that, we will head downhill all the way to Pheriche 4,200m. If you can walk further then you can head down to Pangboche too.

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazar

You will be amazed by how easy it is to head back to Namche Bazar. You will be full of energy again because you will have no problem breathing as you ascend down to 3,440m. If you were having sleep disorder at a higher altitude then get to bed early as you will have sound sleep here.

Day 12: Trek to Lukla

Today is the last day in the Everest region after accomplishing the EBC trek. Now all the things will be your beautiful memory so don’t forget to enjoy the last day also. You will stay your last stay in Lukla.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu

Early morning after a delicious breakfast you will fly back to Kathmandu. After your arrival, our team will come to pick you up. Similarly, we always organize a farewell dinner for the groups in a popular restaurant.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu to home

Today you will be transferred to the international airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight by one of our representatives. It may be the departure day but we will be in touch with you from time to time.
